School for Political Design

Plattform für politisches und soziales Unternehmertum

CURRICULUM

The degree is earned in a two-year, part-time program consisting of e-learning modules alongside attendance periods in Berlin and is fully Bologna compatible. The programme comprises 90 ECTS credits.

The curriculum is designed to enable students to achieve, among others, the following skills:

• Develop, communicate and implement political ideas

• Implement ideas within existing organisational structures, including change-management

• Manage and develop initiatives and projects within the public sector

The MPP is arranged in a clear and strategic way through the combination of theory and practice. A deepened understanding of the conceptual frameworks is guaranteed by a direct application of knowledge and skills.

Each candidate will have to propose a political or social project. A continuous examination, analysis, and discussion of the respective activity will be key to the program. Proposed projects can exist as part of the students’ professional career.

The multidisciplinary background of the student body supports the establishment of a dynamic brain pool defined by individual competencies, experiences and knowledge. Building on this, each topic is subject to various perspectives, approaches and expertise, which will be used to constructively shape the course of the program.

In addition, students will work under the guidance of highly qualified lecturers with expertise and hands-on experience in relevant fields of interest (politics, science, culture, economy, and civil society). The MPP provides future public leaders with introductory courses in sociology, law, politics, and economics as well as introductory courses in applied methods of strategy development, finance planning, and team management. The program provides individual mentoring and coaching for each student.
